Terms and conditions

  • TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF REGISTRATION

By registering with Peninsula Strikers Junior Football Club (PSJFC), you agree to the following terms and conditions:

    1. Club Rules of Conduct and Behaviour

We agree to follow the Peninsula Strikers Junior FC’s Code of Conduct. A copy is available upon request from the Club Secretary.

    2. Governing Body Compliance

We agree to comply with all policies and competition rules set by:

    - Football Victoria (FV) – including the Rules of Competition, Code of Conduct, Disciplinary Regulations, and other related policies, available at www.footballvictoria.com.au

    - Football Australia (FA) – including the National Code of Conduct and Ethics, National Registration Regulations, Member Protection Policy, and National Safeguarding Policy Framework, accessible at www.footballaustralia.com.au

    3. Medical Consent and Expenses

In an emergency where neither parent nor guardian is present, we authorise the coach, team manager, or responsible club representative to seek medical attention or hospitalisation for our child. We agree to meet all associated medical costs and acknowledge that not all expenses may be covered by the club’s insurance.

    4. Insurance Coverage

We understand that PSJFC holds insurance for public liability and limited injury coverage for registered players through Football Victoria’s official insurance program. Details are available at www.footballvictoria.com.au/resources/insurance. We acknowledge that this insurance may not cover all costs, and we accept responsibility for any shortfall. We waive any claim against the club for uncovered expenses unless due to proven negligence.

    5. Player Registration and Insurance Eligibility

We understand that players are not insured and will not be permitted to play or train unless their registration fees are paid in full.

    6. Access to Insurance Details

We may request to review the club’s insurance policy by contacting the Club Secretary.

    7. Player Identification and Documentation

We accept that proof of age and a photograph may be required for player registration under Football Victoria and Football Australia regulations. We will not hold the club liable for loss or damage to original documents unless caused by proven negligence.

    8. Team Selection and Placement

We understand and accept that the club makes the final decision regarding team allocation for players, based on club capacity, team balance, and development considerations. Regular attendance at training and matches is expected. Players unable to attend must notify their coach or team manager as early as possible. Where there is persistent non-attendance by Junior league players without prior notice or reasonable explanation the club will seek to engage with the family to understand any underlying issues before taking further action, as regular attendance is essential for team cohesion and development.

    9. Use of Photographs and Media

We grant the club permission to use photographs or videos of the player for promotional purposes (e.g. website, social media, newsletters), provided that no identifying personal details are used without our consent. If a player’s name is to be published, prior written consent will be obtained in line with the FA Safeguarding Policy. You may opt out of media consent in writing to the club secretary prior to the season commencing.

    10. Refund Policy

We acknowledge that refunds are subject to the terms outlined in the Club’s separate Refund Policy document, available from the Club Secretary.

    11. Dispute Resolution

Disputes or grievances should first be raised with the relevant coach or team manager. If unresolved, the matter may be escalated to the club’s committee via the club secretary. All disputes will be handled respectfully and confidentially in accordance with club policies.

    12. Club Property and Facilities

All members are expected to respect club property and facilities at all times. Any damage caused through negligence or misuse may result in costs being passed on to the responsible parties.

    13. Uniform and Equipment

Players must wear the full official current season PSJFC playing kit for all matches. The current season kit must be purchased by the player through the club’s designated platform.
Players must wear shin guards and appropriate footwear for all training sessions and games.
Any damaged or lost club-issued equipment may be subject to a replacement fee.

    14. Parental Assistance

Parents and guardians are expected to assist the Team Manager on training and match days, which may include tasks such as running the BBQ, working in the Canteen, setting up/packing down pitches, and providing refreshments for players at halftime. A duty roster will be developed and distributed by the team manager.

    15. Working with Children Check (WWC)

Adults working with children on behalf of Peninsula Strikers Junior FC must provide a copy of their Working With Children Check (WWC). Parents/guardians of members under 18 must ensure at least one adult with a WWC can fulfill duty roster responsibilities.

    16. Conduct and Disciplinary Action

The club reserves the right to suspend or expel any player or member for failing to abide by the club’s rules and regulations and our code of conduct.

    17. Amendments

These Terms and Conditions may be updated from time to time at the discretion of the PSJFC Committee. Members will be notified of any significant changes via email or club communication channels.
