MiniRoos
For kids ready to take the next step, the MiniRoos program is Football Victoria’s official grassroots pathway for ages 8–11. It focuses on small-sided games, skill development, and building confidence in a safe, inclusive environment where fun comes first.

Ages U7 - U11Game Leader (referee): A parent or club volunteer keeps the game flowing and ensures fun. Fair Game Time: All players should get equal time on the field.
Philosophy: Fun first, skills second, lifelong love of football. Format: 7 v 7 (+4 subs) Pitch: 40–50m x 30–40m Ball: Size 3 Goalkeeper: Yes Game Time: 2 × 20 min halves
Team Grading
Teams are grouped into three categories:
Kangaroos: Strong skills
Wallabies: Developing skills
Joeys: Learning skills
Players can move between age groups or categories based on development needs.
Training & Matches: Weekly training sessions plus weekend games.
