Juniors

After MiniRoos, players progress into Community Football, which offers structured competitions for U12–U16 in both mixed and girls-only formats. These leagues provide a welcoming, social environment for players who want to keep enjoying football while developing their skills.

Age Groups U12–U16 (mixed and girls-only teams)



Competition Structure

Season: April to September
Matches: Played on weekends at local clubs
Training: 1–2 sessions per week



U12–U13:

  • Format: 9 v 9
  • Field Size: 90m x 45m (smaller than full-size)
  • Match Duration: 2 × 30 min halves
  • Referee: Required for all matches. Mixture of Football Victoria appointed & club provided volunteers. 
    Assistant Referees: Linesmen required. Usually club volunteers act as linesmen

    U14–U16:

    Format: 11 v 11
    Field Size: Full-size pitch (100–110m x 64–75m)
    Match Duration: 2 × 35 min halves
    Goalkeeper: Yes
    Referee: Official referees and assistant referees appointed by Football Victoria for higher divisions


    Team Allocation : Teams graded A, B, C, D, E, with A being the highest skill level.
    Grading ensures balanced competition and player development at the right level.
